Favorite Pastimes

Since the weather has been sporadically good we've tried to get outside as much as possible. Ryker loves the outdoors. We don't know where this kid came from. He wakes up every morning and starts waving bye-bye when we get him out of his crib (bye-bye means he wants to go outside). We've had a lot of fun going to different parks and playgrounds.

Here is is at a playground with Aunt Rachel and Aunt Sarah.

He is completely fearless and goes down slides (even big slides) all by himself. His hair always ends up looking like a dandy-lion because of the static from the slides.

His favorite pastime at any park is playing with woodchips. I'm proud to say that he doesn't eat them anymore (usually) but he loves to throw them and put them on things. A couple of days ago he sat down and buried his legs in the woodchips.

My little angel has turned into a destroying angel. Every room he goes into looks like a tornado went through it within 30 seconds. A couple of weeks ago he got into his garbage can and was playing with his diapers. Gross. But, I'm lucky he did because as I was putting the diapers back I noticed something shiny at the bottom of the can. Yes, it was my watch. We have also found the remote control in Josh's sock drawer, and in random drawers in the kitchen. Here is is current favorite pastime:
At least he's willing to help clean up...

We went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. It was Ryker's first trip to the zoo (that he can remember). He LOVED it. He had his first snow cone, and he saw all the doggies. To him, every animal is a doggie, and he makes barking noises when he sees them - even the birds. We had such a great time and the weather was perfect.

The turkeys were his favorite. He was fascinated by them and kept trying to crawl through the fence to go chase them. And of course he barked at them.

There is no story behind this picture, he's just so dang cute I decided to post it.

Ryker loves putting on big shoes. This picture isn't great, but here he is in Josh's shoes. They're so heavy he can't even walk but he loves to stand there thinking he's big.
